Tips for dying gray hair

Once we start getting gray hair we know dye is our best friend. From now on, if you do not want the silver fox look you can always keep your natural or new hair color with a peroxide tube.

Here I want to share with you some tips for dying gray hair:

  • Hair dye does not disappear in just a couple of washes. So, before you regret find out how to choose hair color wisely or you may go to a beauty parlor to have an expert find the right color for you.
  • It is not a good choice to go for permanent dye if you have hair loss problems since peroxide and ammoniac damage hair structure.
  • Do an allergy test to prevent any complications.
  • Remember that blonde tones soften your features while black and brown tones emphasize them.

Tips on hair coloring

On a previous post I explained to you how to dye your hair, so now I want to give you some tips on how to get better results and maintain your color longer and looking great.

  • Try your chosen color first. The only way to know how a color really looks on you is by trying it first. Just dye a small lock from the back of your head.
  • Blonde and red tones are the hardest to keep since they tend to get discolored over time. For this it is better to choose a darker tone than the one you originally wished for.
  • Makeup will tell you the truth. If your new demands more makeup, then you didn’t make the right choice my dear. The perfect dyed hair must shine along with your skin tone, so there wouldn’t be necessary any darker makeup.
  • You don’t always need to go for a radical color change. You can always enhance you hair with blonde or reddish streaks or highlights.
  • Use shampoo for dyed hair to keep the color and shine of your new coloring.
  • In vase you want to dye your gray hair, do it every 20 days or once a month.
