Tips for dying gray hair

Once we start getting gray hair we know dye is our best friend. From now on, if you do not want the silver fox look you can always keep your natural or new hair color with a peroxide tube.

Here I want to share with you some tips for dying gray hair:

  • Hair dye does not disappear in just a couple of washes. So, before you regret find out how to choose hair color wisely or you may go to a beauty parlor to have an expert find the right color for you.
  • It is not a good choice to go for permanent dye if you have hair loss problems since peroxide and ammoniac damage hair structure.
  • Do an allergy test to prevent any complications.
  • Remember that blonde tones soften your features while black and brown tones emphasize them.

How to choose hair color according to your skin

Before you dare to take the dye tube it is a rule of thumb choosing the right hair color for you.
In order to choose your very own winner, not what your best friend’s or your favorite celebrity has, but what suits best for the color of your skin, eyes, features and personal style.

  • White skin of pink tone: go for cold tones as champagne, sand, ash blonde or cold browns.
  • White skin with yellowish tone: golden and red tones are the best for you, i.e. mahogany.
  • Pale white skin: girl you are lucky, any color suits you.
  • Natural redhead (you want to enhance your hair color): choose between copper reds and bluish reds as burgundy.
  • Olive skin: keep it dark, but you can add it reddish, light brown and burgundy tones.
  • Light brown skin: avoid yellowish, golden and orange tones; you better go for deep red and burgundy.
  • Dark skin: choose a color that complements you natural hair color.
Please, don’t get hooked up on this color or another because it looks great on somebody else, you are not that somebody else, you are you and you must look unique!
